Christopher Holmes is a world-renowned film editor who has worked on many classic and blockbuster films including “Five Easy Pieces,” “The Natural,” and “Donnie Brasco,” "Rocky II."
Having started out in the famed film factory of Roger Corman, throughout his extensive career, Mr. Holmes has had the opportunity to work with some of the most important actors and directors in Hollywood including Jack Nicholson (both as actor and director), Sylvester Stallone (both as actor and director), Arnold Schwarzenegger, Mel Gibson, Barry Levinson, Dino DeLaurentiis, and countless more. Often Chris has worked with a director on a series of their films, cultivating longstanding relationships over the course of many years. Chris has also been brought into a number of films in the capacity of "film doctor."
As well as his work in the United States, Mr. Holmes has worked a great deal overseas, editing films in England, Denmark, Italy (+ Sardinia), Spain, France, The Czech Republic, The Philippines, South Africa, and India.
Most recently, Mr. Holmes was the Supervising Editor (and Editor) at Sony Pictures Home Entertainment division where he oversaw the editing of all Sony’s Extended and Director's Cuts for their DVD releases.
Mr. Holmes continues to work with both studio and independent filmmakers, using his experience and storytelling talents to help them realize their vision.
Mr. Holmes oldest son, Darren, is a fellow editor specializing in feature animation (Iron Giant, Lilo & Stitch, Ratatouille). Chris has six children and lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Ewa, and teenage son, Johan.
